Genres: Comedy, Romance, Slice of life (sort of), Fantasy (sort of)
After wanting to try out a certain Harvest Moon game from a friend (being DS: Sunshine Islands), I decided to try and get 3D: A New Beginning due to its playability on the 3DS and my ordinary DS systems crapping out, as well as its supposed being the first in the series to have complete character customization. And after several more weeks of playing the game (and finding out that Moss-Stone got it as well), I have finally returned from Harvest Moon La La Land and have arrived with the idea for a really funny 4-panel comic series to prove it~! I had been wanting to try drawing something other than Pokemon for a really long time now since I have like a bajillion other things that I'm interested in, but never got any ideas for any of those series.
Until now! There were several things in this game that I liked so much that I thought would be more enjoyable if I could experience them in more detail~. I hope you enjoy it!
Question: What is this comic series all about?
Answer: This comic is based off of my playthrough of Harvest Moon 3D: A New Beginning, for the 3DS, as well as Moss-Stone's playthrough. It takes a wacky and humorous look at some of the more unusual game mechanics, as well as the characteristics and actions of our respective love interests. The two characters on the left represent my character, Amy, and her chosen love interest, Sanjay, while the characters on the right represent Cecil's character Jeremy and his chosen love interest, Iroha.
Q: How long will it last? What will the update schedule be like?
A: Currently, I have enough ideas to fill 20 comic strips. If either of us happen to get any more while playing the game, this number will increase, obviously, but I do plan to eventually stop once I move onto something else. As for the update schedule, it can vary anywhere from once a day to once a week, depending on how fast I can get these done and/or how busy my work schedule is at my current part time job. I predict to become *very* busy around this holiday season in particular.
Q: Will these comics be in chronological order/always have the same number of panels?
A: Sort of. I will try to make them in order as best as I can, though if we get ideas for something that happened in the past, I won't hestitate to put them in anyway. And while the vast majority of these comics will be just 4 panels, there may be one or two that have as many as 8, depending on what's being depicted.
Q: Can my playthrough be inserted into your comic!?
A: Hahahahahahahahahaha--no. Just my playthrough and Cecil's give me all the diversity and differences in perspective that I wanted.
