On Planet Paion, shiny Pokémon are much rarer than they are in Tao World, so when Psyme was born as a shiny, it caused a bit of a shock. A lot of attention was brought to her and her family as a result. To her parents' surprise, though, the little Elgyem absolutely loved the attention everyone showered upon her, and could never seem to get enough of it. She would always ask them, "Hey Mom, Dad, when are they gonna take pictures of me again? I've got a cool new pose that would look SO much better if…" Montague, her father, as a guy who steadfastly stuck to old ways, would quickly get exasperated with these requests. As a result, Psyme and Montague never got along very well. Verdona, on the other hand, absolutely adored her shiny daughter, and was only too happy to oblige her requests. It was from Verdona that Psyme first learned about fashion.

Fashion—and the extra attention good fashion invariably brought—became Psyme's number one passion, and soon enough, she even surpassed her mother's fashion sensibilities. She volunteered to enter a number of beauty pageants, and soon dominated them all. At one of these was O-Beema, who also wanted to win, and soon, the two of them became rivals.

Evolving into a Beheeyem was one of the most difficult choices of her life, as it would radically change her body structure. Fashions that worked on Elgyems wouldn't necessarily work on Beheeyems, and she'd have to adjust to it. In the end, though, she decided that she wanted to be stronger and to be seen as more mature, so she evolved anyway. And as she predicted, her fashion sensibilities were very quick to adapt to her new form.

She craved attention, and was always able to get it no matter where she went due to her natural tendency to not only look flashy, but act it. But it never occurred to her that maybe love would also be a good thing to try…until she met a certain scientist named Blune who always seemed to wear a blue sash around his waist.

At the time, she was setting her sights on becoming High Commander of the planet, the job where she would receive the ultimate amount of attention. Blune was also among those who were applying, though he was far less enthusiastic about it than Psyme. Blune would rather be just a scientist, but his parents insisted that with his knowledge, he could guide the planet and help save its environment from becoming increasingly unlivable. He took an interest in Psyme, as she expected, but to her surprise, he didn't just stare at her for like a minute or so and leave. He talked to her every single day, often for hours, and he asked many, many questions that she never heard before. She was surprised to find that he was actually interested in her family, her childhood, her lifestyle, her beliefs, values, opinions…stuff that the interviewers in her life never even came close to asking about. And when she asked him for his information back, it occurred to her—painfully—that her hopes and dreams were merely insignificant and superficial compared to his. It was the first time in her life she ever felt like she was completely and utterly overshadowed.

Psyme didn't take it too well at first, always expecting to dominate no matter what she was in, but after a few more days of thinking it over, realized that Blune wasn't a bad person. There was just a whole other side of life and a whole new way of thinking about the world that she never knew until he showed it to her. Thankfully for her, Blune had near-infinite patience, and allowed her to come back to him.

The two of them started dating, and eventually, Blune proposed to Psyme with not just an Official Glowing Ring of Proposal, but a purple sash, much like his blue one. Psyme was stunned. She couldn't understand why a deep thinker like Blune would ever want to marry a surely-flaky attention-craving superficial fashion diva like her. He explained that it wasn't a person's outside appearance that was important; it was who they were on the inside, and from everything he found out about the real her, he realized that he loved her more than anyone else. Touched, she accepted his proposal, and from that day forward, she wore the purple sash he offered and never, ever, took it off.

They decided to put their goal of becoming High Commanders on hold, as they decided that they would need more experience with such a demandingly important position, and chose to start a family instead. When their first child, Ligray, turned out to be a girl, Psyme was thrilled. She would always dress her up in the cutest accessories and outfits she could find. Little Ligray didn't mind at first, but as time went on, she became more interested in a TV show much like Invader Zim. In particular, a character like Invader Tak became her idol, and she wanted to be a powerful space warrior just like her instead. Much to Psyme's chagrin, Ligray started to ignore all sense of fashion and focused on becoming strong and powerful instead.

Psyme's second child turned out to be a boy she and Blune named Rigley, and though Psyme was disappointed that she wouldn't get to dress him up the same way as Ligray, she really loved him anyway. She would always intervene whenever Ligray shoved or otherwise play rough with Rigley. As a result, Rigley began to like Psyme better than Ligray did.

Unfortunately for them, the time in which they had to become High Commanders came way sooner than they thought. A freak meteor had crashed into the ship that the previous High Commander was in, leaving the planet without a leader. Worse yet, Psyme realized that in the running for the next High Commander was her former fashion rival, O-Beema, and it looked like she had found a husband who was going to help her win.

Psyme knew from experience that unlike her, who craved attention, O-Beema craved power and control. Ever since her pageant days, O-Beema would act as if she expected everyone to obey her. Even Psyme was expected to obey her despite the fact that she was a shiny and O-Beema wasn't! And this new husband of O-Beema's was the owner of a shady-looking place called Magical Barsign. If the two of them were to become High Commanders, it would spell disaster for the planet. She had to do something, and something fast.

Though only one person was needed to become the High Commander, Psyme asked for Blune's help, because that was the only way they could even the odds against O-Bem and O-Beema, who were clearly going for the job as a pair. Together, with the new life experiences they gained, the two of them were able to pass both the Knowledge Tests and the Moral Quandary Tests with flying colors. But so did O-Bem and O-Beema (who probably cheated). There was only one test left; the Battle Test. Blune and Psyme knew they had to beat O-Bem and O-Beema no matter what. After a long, difficult battle, with Blune's help, Psyme was able to defeat her rival once and for all, and together, they became the planet's new High Commanders.

Unfortunately, a piece of legislation left behind by the OLD High Commander said that, because of the planet's worsening condition, all kids had to attend the military academy in order for them to survive in the future. Including Ligray and Rigley. And because Blune and Psyme's new job was too demanding, they had no choice but to send them there. To their chagrin, O-Bem and O-Beema were also Commanders of the army at that point, and throughout their years on the job, Psyme's formerly fashion-loving personality changed. She became more subdued, bitter, and angry. Angry that the planet's ecosystem was falling apart. Angry that her rival was now likely getting revenge on her children. Angry that it was their fault that she and Blune were forced into this position in the first place.

Blune, however, kept Psyme's head straight. He convinced her that they now have the power to take the planet in the right direction. Thanks to his research, he decided that now was the time to break Planet Paion's long-standing isolationist policy, and examine if the nearby Planet Portania was viable as a place where they could move. By the time Ligray and Rigley took the final tests, Blune and Psyme personally picked the two of them for this mission. Anywhere away from O-Bem and O-Beema was better in their eyes, no matter what.

They were initially frightened when it appeared that Ligray and Rigley had died, but thankfully, some friendly natives appeared to have gone WAY out of their way to save them. Blune and Psyme weren't that thrilled to know that O-Bem and O-Beema had decided to keep an eye on the kids, but what they could do? All they could do was prepare half of everyone on the planet for the big move.

Finally, the big day came, and the two of them personally led the fleet. En route, though, Ligray and Rigley, along with Amy and Chikorita, burst in to tell them that O-Bem and O-Beema were planning on turning this moving fleet into an invasion fleet that would surely turn into an all-out war that could leave many dead on both sides. Right then, though, O-Bem and O-Beema knocked them out and forcibly took the position of High Commander themselves. It galled Psyme that she was powerless to stop them, but thankfully, Amy and Chikorita pulled through to blast O-Bem and O-Beema all the way to the moon. When Psyme woke up, she did whatever she could to set things right and help her kids and their friends.

Upon successfully moving to Planet Portania, Psyme personally thanked Amy and Chikorita for all their help and rewarded them with a new spaceship, to be used if they ever needed a new home. She and Blune continued to govern everyone in the fleet and everyone back on Planet Paion, though she also preferred to explore Tao Village from time to time. One particular day, she ended up buying something called "Space Alien Attractant", and it turned out to be Amy stuck inside a box. She had no idea what the meaning of it was until the day Rigley asked her a certain hypothetical question.

Finally, the term for her and Blune as High Commanders came to an end, and in their place, former tour guide Jeena became the new High Commander. Psyme is confident that Jeena will continue governing Planet Paion in the right direction, and as a reward, offered to give Jeena a sweet new flowing pink scarf, for added effect. Then Psyme discovered that the three guilds were allowing family and friends to join teams who had done good work in the past, and since her son was on a one-man Rescuer team who had done tons of jobs, earning tons of rewards, she figured, why not? Plus, she wanted to see what being a Rescuer Team was really like. In order to prepare for this job, she took an Evolution Scroll to Master Shao and asked him to teach her the special move Petal Dance, a move that Beheeyems can normally never learn. In addition, she renamed the team from "Team Elgyem" to "Team Paion" since the team obviously no longer consisted of just Elgyems anymore.

Due to the unexpected outcome of Event 6.2, she had been teleported away to Illusory Woods of 200 years in the past, where she then proceeded to gather all the other Elgyems and Beheeyems of the Paion Fleet to her. She seriously overestimated her ability to handle the mission to capture Shade the Zoroark, though, and nearly died, but Sam the Charmeleon evolved just in time and helped her out. It was then that she realized that she still had much to learn concerning the citizens of Tao World, and became a little more humble and accepting towards people like him.

Now she's relaxing back on Planet Paion along with her family, having taken in Amy and her team to give them a place to stay while at their new job.

:star: Current Personality: :star:

Psyme's personality can be described with the word, "flashy." Now that she's no longer one of the High Commanders of Planet Paion, there's nothing stopping her from unleashing her full personality. She's loud, she's bombastic, and she's a sucker for attention, regardless of where it comes from. She's also very diplomatic and quite a fast-talker; able to convince other people to do just about anything before they even realize it.

She hardly ever battles if she can avoid it, preferring to use other methods to get people to do what she wants (which is one of the reasons why she originally had only two moves to begin with). If she has to, though, her Thunderbolt and Psychic alone can create a nasty combo move that can eliminate anyone in seconds by going straight for their weak points. Basically, her battle strategy is to distract people's attention with her flashy moves and poses, while her teammates (and/or family) sneak behind them to either complete the mission or finish them off.

She loves her husband and children very much, though she tends to be overbearing when it comes to how they look. Ligray in particular is driven nuts by the way Psyme tends to spend an inordinate amount of time on her looks, and has gone so far as to completely ignore fashion no matter how often Psyme lectures her.

While she seems to come across as superficial, there is more to her personality than meets the eye, especially when she's around her husband and kids. So far, they and her parents are the only ones she'll ever trust with her deepest secrets, and it's only around Blune when she stops worrying about fashion and starts thinking critically about whatever problem they have to face.

She also figured out that Rigley has a crush on Amy. If his odd behavior around Amy didn't tip Psyme off, Rigley's hypothetical question certainly did. She's only more than willing to help her son out, although when she tries to talk to Amy, whom she knows is a bit of a fashion dunce yet at the same time a very deep thinker, she gets nervous. Speaking of getting nervous, Psyme radiates so much confidence in public that it seems like she has very few inhibitions, if at all. In fact, this makes other people tend to be uncomfortable or even embarrassed around her, especially Jody the Bisharp. Thankfully, Amy doesn't seem to mind.

Psyme gets along way better with Chikorita and Ralts, who are actually interested in learning fashion tips from her. Psyme sometimes wishes that they were her daughters instead, but is smart enough to not be too envious. While she at first had a tough time developing fashion that looked good on four-legged creatures and people without antigravity cores, it was no challenge she couldn't prevail over.

She's somewhat disappointed to find out that shiny Pokemon are much more common in Tao World than on Planet Paion, but even so, she feels that it'll be even more of a challenge to try and stand out, and as such, she's even MORE bombastic in Tao World than she ever was on Planet Paion.

She also had a huge ego that came as a result of successfully leading her home planet out of many crises, especially the great migration. She used to look down upon the people of Tao Village for being "unfashionable nutbrains", but ever since her near-death encounter with Shade the Zoroark, she's become more aware of just how dangerous some of them are—and how helpful others, like Sam the Charizard, can be.

:star: Hobbies and Skills: :star:

:bulletgreen: Fashion. Perhaps her biggest hobby, Psyme loves dressing up in all sorts of outfits, always trying to experiment with which colors and which styles go well with each other. Not only does she like dressing herself up, but she also likes to dress others up, too. She likes—even obsesses—on giving tips to those who she thinks needs it, including Ligray and Gnasher. She's an expert on which accessories go well with each other, how to wear them in ways that look good, what perfume to wear, etc.

:bulletgreen: Magical Girl-style transformation sequences. Upon learning that Master Shao was able to teach people some moves that they couldn't normally learn, Psyme decided to take the opportunity. She originally wanted to learn Lunar Dance, but since that was a suicide move, she decided that Petal Dance was better. The way she uses Petal Dance gives her access to a Magical Girl-style transformation sequence in which she magically conjures up two random accessories while smacking enemies around with the actual attack. Don't tell her that she's way too old for a Magical Girl transformation sequence—she'll just laugh at you and do it anyway, smacking you silly in the meantime.

:bulletgreen: Embarrassing people with her presence. Whenever she goes out in public now, she really makes quite a scene. Her skin sparkles, and her personal theme music seems to play in the background while she poses (in reality, the music's coming from a portable music player hidden in her sash somewhere).

:bulletgreen: Solving problems. If she sees anyone fighting with each other, she'll fly up to them and diplomatically talk them out of it, regardless of whether they want her help or not. Even if they become mad, she'll only get more aggressive about helping them and won't back down.

:star: Life goals: :star:

To keep her kids safe, bring them up right, to make Blune happy, to make sure both Planet Paion and Portania have a peaceful future, and to revolutionize the fashion industry on both planets for all time. Oh yeah, and be a hairdresser AND a fashion designer.

:star: Trivia: :star:

:bulletgreen: While Psyme's name comes from the Krill girl of the same name from the Game Boy Advance game Sigma Star Saga, her fashion diva personality was inspired by my mom…and taken to the extreme. Same goes for her seemingly obliviousness to embarrassment, appearance-wise, by Psyme and my mom, and social-wise, by my mom.

:bulletgreen: She is the first shiny Pokémon I've ever added on a team of mine, and so far, the only one.

:bulletgreen: She is also the only Pokémon on my teams—in fact, the only PMD-E character of mine—who frequently changes accessories.

:bulletgreen: However, the one accessory that she'll never throw away is her purple sash/scarf. She received it as an engagement present from Blune, and because she loves him so much, it has sentimental value, and she never, ever takes it off.

:bulletgreen: She also has another speech pattern: She can talk in what sounds like Shakespearean English. This comes from her father, Montague, who ALWAYS speaks this way. She doesn't do it very often, though, preferring to speak in language that people can actually understand, and only does it occasionally for effect. (Also, she prefers to not be associated with her father if at all possible.)

:bulletgreen: She's the first parent I've added to a team, and so far, she's also the oldest (about 39 years old).

:bulletgreen: Finally, she's the one of all my characters whose sense of fashion is by far the highest.
And yes, Psyme gets a bio, too! So does her husband, of course.
