:star: History: :star:

Rallen was born in one of the highest-class families on Planet Paion, with access to the latest and greatest technological advancements. He, along with his little sisters, loved watching alien invader shows such as Invader Slimjim (parody of Invader Zim) and Sergeant Kirara (parody of Sgt. Frog), and Rallen wanted nothing more than to become an invader himself.

When then-High Commander Tierney announced that they were even opening up positions to join the military (which equaled “invader” in Rallen’s mind) to kids in order to deal with the worsening conditions on Planet Paion/eventually move from there if need be, Rallen didn’t hesitate to do so. In it, he was one of the kids with the highest amount of motivation, was one of the best in everything, and looked up to his commanders more than anyone else. He also developed his catchphrase “like a boss” at this time and used it a LOT, to the annoyance of his peers; most especially a girl named Jeena, whom he seemed to like to impress a lot.

As a result, though, he hardly made any friends…no friends, really, except for his three little sisters, whom he’d often play with and tell stories to. So he had nothing to lose when he finally evolved when he turned 13 and was authorized to go on the most dangerous mission they had to offer: Find out information about the Pawniard/Bisharp packs on Tao World.

There, he saw Jody for the first time when she was just a Pawniard, and monitored her more closely than anyone else due to her behavior that stood out to him like a sore thumb, especially when she began to willingly break her bones several times to try and grow faster. He certainly heard about having dedication, but dang! He continued to watch, though the worse things got for Jody, the harder it was for him to stay silent and undetected, and in fact, Karen almost caught him, but he was lucky that there was a Ratatta nearby to unintentionally save his butt.

When Jody finally collapsed after wandering for weeks, Rallen couldn’t take it anymore. How could someone with such spirit quit just like that? Though he knew he was only authorized to monitor this particular pack for two weeks, he had already become so intrigued by Jody that he had ended up breaking this rule. He told her to never give up, believing she could do better than that, and eventually convinced her that she could keep on living.

Rallen then took her to his ship to help her recover while explaining that he came from a place called Planet Paion, and afterwards, made plans for the two of them to sign up to become a Rogue team at the nearby Tao Village—with the name Team SF-169 Fusion Bolt, named after his spaceship.

It wasn’t easy for Rallen. Not only did everyone look at him like he was from another planet—which he was, technically—but it took him a bit of time to get used to the crappy-by-comparison technology of Tao Village, hard sleeping surfaces, and how everyone seemed a lot stupider compared to him. But when Jody ran away to try and hunt a Seviper, he didn’t hesitate to save her from the group of Fighting-types out to punish her, and helped reassure her that they were here for each other.

And so, for the next two years, they took on missions and brought prestige to the Rogues’ guild. Even Rallen had to admit that the missions certainly had a lot more diversity and fun to them than the missions he had on Planet Paion. Soon, though, Rallen realized that was starting to fall in love with Jody, which made him think really hard for weeks on end about how best to tell her, or even if he should at all. After all, she was his teammate and partner, and it would be a big risk if it didn’t go well.

One night, in the midst of a beautifully glowing flower field, he finally decided to confess his love to her, and she then realized that she might also like him back, but had no idea what this feeling was, and it was scaring her. He reassured her that it was nothing to be afraid of, and that he’d protect her no matter what. After all, he was incredibly happy to find out that she liked him too, and he wanted to do whatever he could to help out. Little did they know that a very angry Karen happened to be overhearing from the shadows.

The next day, Karen and her pack apparently came to plunder Tao Village and issued a challenge to Rallen and Jody, angry that Jody’s heroic acts were pretty much changing the fearsome image of Bisharp everywhere in the eyes of the villagers. If the two of them could defeat her and her pack, she would leave them and their village alone, but if they lost, then Karen would publicly execute Jody and plunder the entire town. Throughout the battle, Jody almost lost thanks to Karen’s Guillotine, but with Rallen’s help just in time, the two of them won. As a result, Karen agreed to leave, and even allowed Sam and Swiss to stay with Jody while Steve and Spike went with her.

Several months later, Rallen finally decided that he loved Jody so much that he wanted to ask her if she wanted to marry him. To prove how serious he was, he was even willing to stay in Tao World and leave Planet Paion forever for her sake, and while he knew it was a very difficult, risky, and even unpatriotic decision, he knew that he loved her so much that he had no other choice. To his joy, Jody felt the same way too, especially since she didn’t have any place to return to, and agreed to marry him. Though Rallen felt sad that he and Jody wouldn’t exactly get the kind of ceremony that he would have liked since Jody didn’t exactly have any family at the moment besides Sam and Swiss and he knew his family would all be against it, he figured that a small ceremony with all of their friends in Tao Village was better than nothing.

After several more months, they had their first child, who was just an egg at the time. Unfortunately, shortly after the egg was laid, Rallen collapsed due to an unknown illness, and no matter what berries Jody tried, nothing seemed to be able to cure him. She desperately called out for help on his communication device, only to find that his former commanders answered the call and wanted to take him back for good.

She didn’t want this to happen, but they had already developed technology to simulate the effects of Fighting-type moves on her body, and wanted to take her and her son with them for experimentation. Rallen didn’t want them to do that, knowing of the kinds of horrible, sadistic things they liked to do to their captives, and thus, made a deal in which they would agree to leave his wife and their son alone if he never came back to this planet. They grudgingly accepted, and though Jody still tried to stop them, they only dropped her into the ground for her efforts.

Rallen was locked away in a quarantine room for quite some time, believing that it was taking them this long to fully eradicate this disease, but then he overheard one day from his former commanders that the planet’s top scientists, Blune among them, actually cured him a long time ago, and that the former commanders were holding him in so they could get as much information about Tao World out of him as they could. In a rage at being betrayed by the people he used to look up to most, he burst out of the room and attacked them, accusing them of taking him away from his wife, but to no avail. They arrested him under the charges of attacking his superior officers, ignoring mission orders, and turning against his own people, and stuck him in maximum security prison for life.

For the next 16 years, he was stuck there, and was only ever able to be visited by his family. His sisters were never happy to see him, though, and accused him of lying to them and letting them down right when they needed him most since they were forced into the military too. All he was left with was the guilt that ate at him for not only letting his whole planet down, but his wife and son, too, for he would never get to see his son grow up the way he always wanted to. If only he wasn’t restrained from doing so the whole time, he probably would have taken his own life.

But that all changed when one day, on the day the great move to Tao World was scheduled, a much-older Jody burst in to rescue him with help from a living space virus known as Deoxys. Just seeing her face again was enough for him, even if it meant he would die soon when they were subsequently captured and brought aboard one of the ships. Then, however, a meteor crashed into the ship and revived Deoxys, marking it as the first time a meteor crashing has actually been a good thing, and the three of them, now freed, promptly went to smash all the cannons aboard the ship. They then found his former commanders and stopped their evil invasion scheme by punching them into the moon once and for all.

The Deoxys took them back and returned to the space rock while they made their way back to Tao Village…only to find it destroyed thanks to Sorbet the Kyurem’s rampage in Mission 5. Luckily, the cave in Tao Woods that they lived in was still intact, but unluckily for them, two people found them and knocked them out before bringing them aboard the main flagship, where they found that High Commanders Blune and Psyme were both still alive, but now holding them on trial.

During the trial, however, they found that the people who knocked them out again were Rallen’s sister Zita, and—surprise, surprise—Jody’s big brother Boscoe! The two of them explained how they met not too long ago, as well as what they learned from being friends with each other and why Boscoe didn’t want Jody to evolve way back then. Blune and Psyme agreed that since times have changed, they should pardon Rallen and Jody for once.

And thus, Rallen and Jody returned home to live in peace, where eventually, they got so bored they decided to have two more eggs. And then one day, Joe came back, and began to live with them again, where they told their epic story to him, his friends, and later, to his new girlfriend Tori. Their story soon inspired Amy and friends, who, after the guilds stopped giving out crazy missions, decided to move to Planet Paion to help make sure no one ever suffers like Rallen and Jody did, and the two of them waved them off as they set off for Planet Paion.

Rallen and Jody continue to live at their home with their family today.

:star: Current Personality: :star:

Rallen is overall far more fun-loving and mischievous than his wife Jody, though he’s also serious whenever he needs to be. That being said, though, he’s lost a lot of that side of his personality during the 16 years he was stuck in prison, and though he claims it’s just a blank time that’s easy to forget, one can see that it’s not something he can forget easily, if at all. Sometimes, he’d just stay still and look down in depression for hours on end if something reminds him of that time, and the only one who can help him out of that funk would be either his wife or his son.

He does, however, try and make up for it by attempting to go back to his former silly state, playing games with his family and trying to make Jody laugh, though it’s pretty clear that he’s better at dealing with quieter kids like his daughter Dari. In fact, he’s just better at dealing with girls overall since he had three little sisters growing up.

While Jody is far more adept at direct combat, Rallen’s fighting style is more for covert operations and long-range attacks, though he has grown accustomed to using a “stick” as a melee weapons of sorts and wielding it proudly.

Nowadays, he’s not nearly the flirt he used to be (this trait has pretty much been passed down to his son), and he doesn’t say “like a boss” at the end of his sentences like he used to. What he’s still good at is making up really long names, writing long, convoluted poetry that actually rhymes, and coming up with unique names. Since he’s the one who knows how to use all that “complex alien technology” from Jody’s point of view, he’s now responsible for a lot of the housework, too.

Rallen enjoys being with his family whenever he can, and likes to stick around them all a lot to attempt to make up for lost time. He also feels bad that if only he were a little more proactive, then maybe so many bad things wouldn’t have happened in his life, so he’s doing his best to be more like his wife and not stand for horrible things again.

:star: Hobbies and Skills: :star:

:bulletblack: Taking “pictures.” Rallen is an avid photographer; always seeking to document new places in Tao World he’s travelled to with the help of his advanced camera that suspiciously resembles our iPhone technology today. He also likes to take questionable pictures of…er…*ahem*…moving on!

:bulletblack: Adding “like a boss” to the end of his sentences. This was something he thought was really cool when he was a kid and a young teenager, but now, especially after those 16 years in prison, he’s largely grown out of it. Now he just reserves it for whenever he really does think it’s worthy of being used.

:bulletblack: Female impersonation. Though he seems to get a bit of flack for it, Rallen has actually developed this ability from being around his little sisters a lot. He can not only dress up like a girl, but even make his voice so high-pitched that you can’t even TELL he’s a guy! This has proven very useful on spy/infiltration missions, and in fact, that mission in Merlot’s castle would probably have been more of a success if only Jody didn’t get so angry about the maid outfits.

:bulletblack: Making up incredibly long, silly names. The exact opposite of Jody; Rallen can not only come up with a lot of cool names, but make them so incredibly, absurdly long that you can’t help but laugh while listening to it.

:bulletblack: Pontificating. Being stuck in a jail cell for 16 years can certainly do this to a person. Rallen had a lot to think about, and he sometimes does so today if there’s no one to distract him. He’s confident, however, that one day, he can eventually get past this and become a stronger person because of it.

:star: Life Goals: :star:

To basically make sure his children are brought up right, get used to living again after all those years in prison, and teach people to never discriminate against each other no matter what.

:star: Trivia: :star:

:bulletblack: Rallen’s name was inspired by main character Rallen from the Spectrobes series. His personality, to a small extent, was also somewhat based off of the character’s brash, impetuous attitude.

:bulletblack: Both he and Jody ended up with an exact equal mix of what could arguably be seen as “masculine” and “feminine” character traits. (The fact that it’s more noticeable on Rallen than Jody might say something about our culture.)

:bulletblack: I knew that I wanted Joe’s mom to be a Bisharp, but I was debating on who his dad could be. When I couldn’t help but jokingly think that a Beheeyem could be a possibility due to the fact that I had created a whole planet with Elgyem and Beheeyem on it nearby, well, that was when Rallen was made!

I have a question, how old was he when he and Jody married? I tried doing some math here, but I'm not entirely sure. 15-16?
