Description
Total time: 3 class sessions, or 4.5 hours.
I've never actually tried drawing a skull of any kind before (except maybe some random skeleton enemies in a mini-comic I drew in 5th grade), mostly because they would be quite scary-looking, but this cow skull was different. I found that I ended up analyzing the lights and shadows on it, and before I knew it, this came out. It wasn't even as scary as I thought it would be, either!
And of course, the teacher suggested that I sketch a dark aura around the skull so that its shading would pop out, so that's what all the lines around it are for...they pretty much signify empty air that I didn't have time to fill in completely.

I d fill the background with a dark tone. It will look a lot better! Nice study, it reminds of my very first year at art school where I painted a cow skull like that one.
