In case I end up not doing too much else on this site, I'm going to just post up these new, improved, and updated commission guidelines on my front page, for everyone to check out whenever they want. Haha, about time I get paid at least a bit for all this awesome work that I do, because if I took free requests, I'd never get any free time left, am I right? :XD:

Anyway, the idea behind commissions, for those who don't know, is that you basically pay money for an artist to draw something of your choosing. After all, drawing is a skill that can be used to suit the needs of people who need graphics for anything from personal keepsakes to promotional images used to sell products, and it is a skill that deserves to be recognized on par with any other major skills in the real world, such as food preparation or scientific analysis. That's the way I see it, anyway. It's true that I do a lot of works for free on my own, but that's the thing; it's all stuff that I myself want to draw, and it helps me get practice so that by the time I can offer my skills for others, it's of the best quality that I'm capable of so they get their money's worth.

In my first commission journal, I offered to draw pretty much any number of characters with the option to have backgrounds or not, and the prices now go like so: $10 for a full body shot of a character, with $10 for each additional character. $5 if it's a waist shot or a small, easily drawn Pokemon, and an extra $15 for a detailed, painted background. Those factors still stand here. However, since that seems to be a bit too broad, I've decided to also offer some suggestions for people who are stuck on ideas on what to commission me for. And here they are!

:bulletpink: Avatars and Folder Icons for dA, as well as icons for Tumblr: Avatars for $5 each, Folder Icons for $5-$10 each, depending on complexity.

:bulletpink: Evolutions and Mega Evolutions: If you have a Pokemon character and want to see what they might look like at every stage of their evolution, this is the type of commission for you! Obviously, if they have only one form and don't have a Mega form, then they can't be applied here, sorry. $20-$45, depending on number of evolutions. Check out examples below for more detailed price guidelines:

:bulletpink: Pokemon (and/or Trainer) Team Shots: Many of you who play the mainstream Pokemon games probably have a beloved team that you really enjoy playing with, and if you wanted to see a complete picture of all of them, and/or with their trainer, this is the commission for you! I know for a fact that I'm particularly bad at choosing teams of six that I like a lot, as I'm more used to picking out only one or two at most, so I'm really excited to be offering this for other people so I can draw such teams. $12-$24 for faceshots, $20-$50 for group portraits, and $20-$70 for full body group shots, all depending on number of characters. :bulletpink: Couples/Kissing Pictures: Oh yeah, due to my experimentation with the romance genre, I'm also offering this one. Have a cute couple whom you'd like to see in the same picture? This is the commission for you! Obviously, kissing is about as far as I can go when it comes to depicting such things, so no NSFW stuff and whatnot. $20 for two full body characters, $10 for two waist up shots or short Pokemon shots. Oh, and by the way, I can also handle drawing yuri (couples with two girls), but not yaoi (two boys). Sorry, guys!

:bulletpink: Family Pictures: If you have an entire family that you would like depicted in a single picture, then this is for you! $10 per full body shot of each character or adult, $5 per half body shot/small Pokemon/child, and $15 for the addition of a super detailed background, as usual.

While my pencilling and initial inking styles are more or less uniform, when it comes to the final inking, coloring, and rendering styles, you can choose from plenty of options! You can pick one of the six in the picture below to the left, or even more (such as lineless flat colors or Sugimori style), if I've been able to successfully do it in the previous examples. Though if you want to know the two styles I have by far the most experience in, they are depicted in the examples to the right.

Also, possible discounts:

All the prices above assume that you order a commission that's in full color and rendering. If you want only a pencilled drawing, you can get it for only 1/4th the price, and if you want the inked version, you can get it for 1/2 the price. In addition, if you commission me to draw either one of my own characters or a Pokemon that I clearly have a lot of experience drawing already, such as Jigglypuff, Mawile, Chikorita, Elgyem, Beheeyem, etc., the price for them will only be $5 instead of $10.

Now, for stuff that I can't or won't do! Such things include...

:bulletpink: Oversexualized...well, anyone or anything. I'm okay with drawing people with maybe slightly exaggerated anatomy if need be, but if faced with drawing a Pokemon or creature who happens to have such assets when the official art clearly indicates they don't have any, I'm afraid I'll have to decline right away. This isn't a value judgment; I'm just being honest here with what I feel uncomfortable with.

:bulletpink: Extreme gore, blood, or NSFW stuff in general is also a no-no. Try to keep things at PG-13 and under, please. Basically, stuff that wouldn't require a Mature Content filter, as my gallery doesn't have any of that stuff and I like to see if I can keep it that way.

Sounds interesting? Have something you want to see me do a drawing of? Well then, the next steps are...

1.
Send me a note with what you want to have me draw.

2. I'll look it over and let you know whether I can draw it or not. If not, then too bad, but if I can, then I'll accept it and/or ask for more details.

3. Send me half the payment of the piece via Paypal.

4. I'll get to work on it as soon as I receive it and will send you progress updates via Stash at every stage of the art for corrections. (If the piece is a really fast one, like a $5 one, you can even watch via a Join.me stream if you have the time and make comments as I go along.)

5. Once I finish the piece and you're satisfied, send the other half of the payment via Paypal.

6. Let me know if you want me to publish it to dA or if you'd rather it be kept private to only you. If published, all commissions go both in my Featured folder and in my Commissions folder.

And that about does it! Thanks for reading! And if you know of someone else who might be interested, be sure to refer them to me!

What? Nothing for a single Pokemon?

(Just curious about the prices)
