For all the birthday wishes! (Yes, I know this journal is two days late; blame my homework and all the stuff I was preparing to upload on my actual birthday.) Amy and Ryoshi were married on time, we had everything ready to go, I finally got another actual commission, and of course, I got to be an admin for Pokemon-of-Avalon at last. Best. Birthday. Ever.
I'd actually been wanting to be an admin for quite some time ever since I realized that the group was practically my new main group, but I guess I never had the chance until one of the admins voluntarily left. Is this what it means for "success is when preparation meets opportunity", or however you say it? Well, either way, it finally worked!Seeing Mosshrooms talk about how he joined PoA now makes me want to discuss it more myself. To be honest, the way I discovered it was the same way I discovered almost all other groups after PMD-E; either someone I watch advertises it or a friend of mine joins it, and in this case, it was Lauren who joined it. Normally I'm not too interested in medieval-themed groups (which is why I didn't even bat an eye at the original Pokemon-Castle group), the fact that it had Native Americans as an option made me interested. But of course since it only allowed one main character, it would make sense that I would choose Amy the Jigglypuff again. And I guess I could have made her the same age as she was in PMD-E, but for one, I mistakenly thought that she'd have to be at least 13 due to the nebulous classification of a Jigglypuff's evolutionary stage (turns out they can pretty much be any age like any basic-staged Pokemon), and then I began to wonder how different things would be if she was more my age for once. As you can tell after that, that was exactly the sort of thing I needed for my storytelling sensibilities, as well as all the awesome stuff that occurred after that. I of course also looked for other groups like PoA in terms of just one main character who's NOT a gijinka/anthro...there are none at the moment.
And who knew that I turned out to be a history buff the whole time? I usually write sci-fi, comedy, and now fantasy, but now I'm finding that I've been able to pay a lot more attention in my art history classes than usual, which is pretty cool.
Not to worry; there's still a lot more things Cecil and I got planned after the marriage. And of course, Rallen and Jody. Guess I really won't be joining PMD-U after all, so everyone else who has, have fun for me!
